Consulting engineers Silcock Dawson has strengthened its management team with two appointments. Paul Glendinning (1) is now regional managing director for the firm’s London office and Brian Hughes (2) is regional director for the Bristol office.

Graham Hamer (3) has joined building services designer and contractor SES as chief estimator having moved from NG Bailey.

Steve Mackenzie has been appointed to steer the development of multi-disciplinary consultant Buro Happold’s newly created Fire Engineering and Risk Assessment group within the practice’s Specialist Consulting Division.

Lift specialist Simon Russett (4) has become a partner at consulting engineers Hoare Lea.

Allan Tulla has joined Winchester-based Designs for Lighting as architectural lighting manager. His remit is to expand the company into architectural, heritage and commercial lighting.

Lighting manufacturer JCC Lighting has appointed Steve Kirby (5) as commercial director. His responsibilities involve sales and marketing both nationally and internationally.

Hilti has appointed Derek Gow (6) to the newly created position of head of building services. He will aim to build long-term relationships with contractors by addressing key industry issues such as health and safety and productivity.

Durapipe has boosted its sales team with the appointment of Peter Ropazs as area sales manager for Yorkshire and the north east.
