• Consultant White Young Green has appointed Clare Shuttleworth (1) to the key group-wide role of sustainability bureau manager. The bureau is an initiative to pool the company’s sustainability expertise.

 Leah Dempsey (2) is joining architectural practice Architype’s management team.

• Project delivery firm Sinclair Knight Mertz has appointed Andrew Woodhouse technical director of building services. He was previously an associate director at Arup.

• Meanwhile, Richard Nixon (3) has been appointed security and risk manager in Europe, relocating from the firm’s Singapore office.

• Balfour Beatty chief executive Ian Tyler (4) has been appointed president of CRASH, the construction and property industry charity for the homeless.

• Toshiba Air Conditioning has made a number of appointments to its sales team. Simon Bradley joins with responsibility for supporting customers in the Midlands, Scot Hunter covers the Scottish Region and Pamela Clark will support contractor customers in the North West of England.

• SES has appointed Chris Catterick (5) as contracts manager for its North East office.

• Graham Young (6) is the new southern sales manager at lighting management systems company Ex-Or.

 Paul Hardy has been appointed MD of Baxi Heating UK’s commercial division, which incorporates the Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton and Baxi Commercial businesses.
