Old and new combine on The Silken Hotel on The Strand in London, where new Portland Stone cladding will be added to a restored listed façade built in 1903.

Designed by Fosters for a Spanish hotel chain, the building will have 170 hotel rooms and 90 apartments. Spanish firm Idom is project and construction manager.
