Groundworks and civils specialist Scanmoor has gone bust.

Launched in 1995, the firm has had several prestigious projects including a £27.5m contract to construct a new ticket hall under King’s Cross station in London. The firm turned over £73.8m in 2005 compared with £36.9m the previous year, but only managed a pre-tax profit of £1.2m.
