Tyco Electronics has introduced a poke-in connector for the LED lighting market.

The product is a low-profile, surface-mounted (SMT), two-position connector suitable for use in PCB-based LED strings and lighting controls.

The connector offers quick and reliable wire termination as a low-labour alternative to hand-soldering wires, especially when used with single-sided aluminium-clad circuit boards.

The device is available in tape and reel packages for high-speed SMT processing gear.

The connector is compliant with the RoHS Directive and incorporates tin over nickel-plated copper alloy contacts housed in UL94-V0-rated high-temperature thermoplastic.
