Architect Cartwright Pickard is to design this £57m headquarters for the Health and Safety Executive. This follows the appointment of a PFI consortium, led by Kajima Partnerships. At 30,000 m2, the HQ, to be built in in Bootle, Merseyside, will accommodate 1500 staff. Contractor and planning supervisor is Kajima Construction Europe, structural and services engineer is Buro Happold and facilities managers are Honeywell Control Systems and Reliance Integrated Services. It is expected to be ready by spring 2005.
