Chief executive John Dodds said: “In housebuilding our unit completions and current forward order book together are 13% ahead of last year.” He added that the spring selling season would provide an important indicator of longer-term prospects.

The day before the AGM, held on Saturday the Kier Group signed a contract to redevelop Poole station in Dorset, and build 260 residential units in the area.
