Coop Himmelb(l)au’s design for the House of Music in Aalborg, Denmark, wraps a block of music, educational and performance spaces around a 1,300-seat symphonic concert hall

The facade consists of a conventional insulated glass curtain wall on the inside, with an outer layer of perforated metal shading panels, covered with a thin photovoltaic film. Davis Langdon is the cost consultant on the project.
