Imtech has paid £16 million in cash for the Aqua Group, a Cambridgeshire-based multidisciplinary group whose activities include electrical and mechanical engineering, ICT, data-handling and telecommunications.
Aqua has an annual turnover of £30 million and 210 employees. It boasts 80 regular large clients and over 90% of its activities are repeat business. The company’s client base includes Cambridge University and the Imperial War Museum.
Imtech is a Dutch company active in all European m&e and ICT markets. This latest acquisition will take its UK annual turnover to £200 million.
Other m&e businesses in the UK that are owned by Imtech are Meica and Goodmarriott and Hursthouse.
