Space Architects has unveiled its design for the Efizia Tower, a 33-storey mixed-use scheme in the Santa Fe district of Mexico City

Developer Diimx briefed the practice to design “the best building in Latin America” and it is hoped it will act as a benchmark for green buildings in the region. The tower has a dual facade: an inner double glazed one and an outer stainless steel mesh that will allow in daylight while absorbing heat. Space claims the double facade will reduce the tower’s electricity consumption by almost 40%.
