The UK and Mexican governments have signed a joint commitment on sustainable development and climate change

Ed Miliband, secretary of state for energy and climate change, met his Mexican counterpart, Juan Elvira Quesado, during the state visit of the Mexican President to London at the end of March. The two discussed stepping up efforts to avoid damaging climate change and further sustainable development partnership opportunities. Mexico has pledged to reduce its emissions by 50% by 2050.
