The ECA has announced a series of free seminars across the country to help contractors understand the new 17th edition of the Wiring Regulations.

The 17th edition of the Wiring Regulations is due to come into force in 2008, which means the standards that electrical installations adhere to will change.

To highlight these changes in design, specification, terminology and the effect on inspection and testing requirements, the ECA has developed a half-day seminar programme.

The seminars will provide contractors with an authoritative overview of the new regulations and a chance to ask questions directly to ECA technical experts.

ECA director David Pollock said: “The half-day seminars will provide contractors with an invaluable opportunity to find out about the 17th edition from the people who helped write it.”
