Fastening specialist SFS Intec has launched a new hand-held installation tool designed to reduce strain and injuries for workers fastening through single ply membranes for flat roofs

The Iso-Tak 18 hand-held telescopic tool is used with the company’s Iso-Tak fastener systems to secure roofing membranes and insulation layers to the deck in a single operation, while meeting wind loading and weather tightness requirements.

The system eliminates the need to use a screw gun, which forces the operative to bend for each application, and allows for faster installation times. The tool fastens to set depths, which prevents overdriving into the insulation and ensures the same pull out resistance across the roof.
