Crabtree has just launched Weatherseal, a range of IP56 water and dust-proof sockets that can maintain a full waterproof seal, even on moulded plugs with rigid cable tails

Weatherseal sockets accept all standard British 13 A plugs. Entry is via a sealable lid that stays open while the plug is put in.

The seal between the lid and main body is made from a special material, which helps the switch retain its IP56 rating after repeated use.

Weatherseal has one-gang unswitched and two-gang switched sockets.
