Chipdrive time-recording software from SCM Microsystems provides a way of recording hours worked and activity, helping to ensure clients are billed and firms are paid correctly.
The software uses a clock terminal, which consists of either a hand-held mobile unit or a fixed unit networked into the office IT.
Chipdrive uses smartcard technology. Transactions are recorded by inserting the smart card into the clock terminal.
Additional information can be recorded by selecting a menu that identifies project name, client location and code for activity, such as hours worked or consultancy.
Data is then available for back-office administrative tasks including audit and analysis. Reports can be created to show how employees are allocating their working time between different activities.
