Miller Construction’s new business development director, Blackshaw will lead the firm’s future growth across the Midlands, where it has recently completed projects including Leicester’s £225m Building Schools for the Future programme.

Madani Sow

Bouygues Construction’s UK subsidiaries, Bouygues UK and Warings, have appointed Sow as chairman. Sow first joined Bouygues Bâtiment International as a site engineer in December 1981, and has held various roles within the group.

Bob Martini

A fellow of the CIOB, Martini is Rydon Construction’s new construction manager for the south-west office. He will be responsible for expanding the firm’s portfolio with local authorities, housing associations and health trusts, as well as private clients.

Ryan Holder

Morgan Ashurst’s Barnstaple operation has appointed Holder as trainee quantity surveyor, taking responsibility for site measurements, estimates and costs and reporting to the commercial team and to the company’s clients.

Mark Farrar is the new chief executive for ConstructionSkills, replacing Peter Lobban in August. Holloway White Allom has made three appointments: Barry Breed is director of construction in London, special projects and the maintenance division; Darren Size is director of construction in the country and overseas operations; and Simon Davenport is director of turnkey operations and development opportunities. Westleigh Developments has appointed Mark Hickling as site manager and Phil Smith as assistant site manager at its partnership and new homes divisions in Loughborough.
