Hager ups the stakes with its new increased current mcb line.

Hager has introduced a new range of super mcbs with an increased current rating of up to 125 A and a larger breaking capacity of up to 15 kA.

In several applications, the new product line will allow contractors to use mcbs in a smaller SP&N board as a more cost-effective alternative to mccbs in a TP&N board.

The mcbs are available in Type C or D tripping characteristics, so they can be used for circuits with a high current inrush, such as switching transformers or fluorescent lighting loads.

They can be padlocked on or off, and the front of the device features an integral label holder for simple and secure circuit identification.

A new terminal design using a cage connection system grips cables more securely. It features a tightening compensation system, reinforcement arch and serrated jaws.

Each mcb also has a dedicated connection point allowing remote indication of contact status.

A wide range of rccb add-on blocks is also available to provide additional protection against earth faults. These are protected against nuisance tripping caused by transient voltages.
