Solicitor Shadbolt & Co has promoted Philip Adams to partner at the firm's London office.

Chartered surveyor Drivers Jonas has appointed Noel Tiffney as a graduate surveyor in the investment department of its Scottish office.

Construction and property consultant Bucknall Austin has made eight appointments: Rod Wilson joins the Slough office as senior quantity surveyor and Laura Hiles as trainee quantity surveyor; the Manchester office welcomes Christopher Jago as building surveyor; Victoria Back joins the Birmingham team as sales and marketing manager and Nicholas Parkes as senior surveyor; Carrie Weldon joins the London office as senior quantity surveyor and David Adams as building surveyor; and Katie Griffin will be junior team secretary at British Nuclear Group.

Construction and property consultant Thomas and Adamson has announced three new appointments:

Colin Ross, a senior quantity surveyor in the Manchester office, has been promoted to associate; Tom Brennan, finance and quality manager based in the Edinburgh office, has been promoted to practice manager; Les Banks, previously an associate of the practice heading a team of quantity surveyors in the Edinburgh office, has been promoted to partner.
