Zumtobel has provided Phaos LED luminaires as part of the lighting scheme for the flagship London store of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.
The French fashion and interiors designer briefed his architect, KMB, to make the store look like a Rubik’s cube. Phaos is a flat LED tile, 228mm square but only 31mm deep, that produces a uniform square of light. Zumtobel provided supporting brackets that allowed the tiles to be butted up to each other in an array.
The lighting manufacturer’s Luxmate Emotion control system produces 17 different scenes, with random transitions between fast, slow, horizontal and vertical patterns of coloured light.
