Homelessness charity Alone in London is to merge with support group EPIC Trust, part of housing association Circle 33.

Alone in London provides support services to about 1500 young people each year and EPIC Trust provides care and support for 1660. The merger will take place in April this year.

Robert Black, EPIC Trust’s director of support services, will direct the new organisation. Alone in London offers skills such as family mediation and fundraising, while EPIC Trust specialises in care and support for sheltered and supported housing tenants.

A spokesman for Alone in London said: “Our names will stay the same but we will now provide a range of complementary services to a wide number of people. The two organisations share the same values and aims and will be stronger together.”
