Bill Wright has been sworn in as the new president of the ECA at the Association’s conference in Palma, Mallorca on 15 May.
Wright began his career as a JIB apprentice electrician with Hall & Kay in Sheffield. After leaving the company he held a number of supervisory and junior management roles with firms in the area, before forming W Wright Electrical with his wife Sandra in 1978.
The company has now been in business for over 27 years. The couple also formed sister company BSJ Mechanical and Plumbing Services in 2001 and the two companies now employ over 140 employees.
W Wright joined the ECA in 1981 and Bill has been an active member since 1985. He has been branch and regional chair, as well as standing on ECA Council. He also chairs the contracts, commercial and legal committee.
