Work is due to start on site next month on this £10.6m city academy in Salford, near Manchester. The 750-pupil academy for the United Learning Trust, a subsidiary of charity the United Church Schools Trust, will specialise in sport, business and enterprise.

The project team includes architect Aedas, project manager Townson Associates, QS CM Parker Browne, planning supervisor CDM Planning Supervisors and contractor Bowmer and Kirkland. Construction is expected to be complete in July 2006, with the new building opening for the start of the September 2006 academic year.
