This coming summer, new Work at Height Regulations will come into force in the UK (thereby implementing a European directive).
Among measures contained in the regulations is the requirement for employers to carry out risk assessments of all work conducted at height, and to ensure that adequate training is provided at all times.
A four-month consultation period on this latest set of regulations commenced in January with a view to making certain that the final document's proposals are both practical and proportional.
The consultation document itself can be accessed on (and downloaded from) the Internet. Take a look at: www.hse.gov.uk/consult/live.htm
