Reflex IS launchING a new, "affordable" IP video surveillance package for its small to medium sized business customers.

In the package, Reflex offers wireless cameras located at business premises. These record locally to an office PC when movement is detected and also to an off-site remote digital recorder via the existing broadband connection.

In the event of an alarm the system sends an instantaneous text or picture via a mobile phone and also an email with the camera's alarm recordings - or real time live images able to be viewed online by the business owner. Reflex are starting their prices at £10 per week, including maintenance, and they are offering off-site management including interfacing with the police.

John Pye, group managing director (pictured above) said they were setting up a separate small business division offering starter packages : "We are serious about small business and the entry level package includes the installation, rental and maintenance on one high performance digital camera, with both local and remote storage and retrieval capability." He added: Larger businesses still require a higher degree of integration, as you'd expect ."
