To coincide with the launch of its new GlazaTherm roof ventilator, Lonsdale has published Important Questions To Ask Any Roof Vent Manufacturer.
The questions are intended to put manufacturers on the spot and help designers and installers choose vents with the necessary features to prevent leaks and offer durability for their clients.
Unreliable vents can prove costly due to the amount of ‘call-backs’ that installers might have to make in order to carryout remedial work. The guide gives advice on what to look for to avoid such problems, plus more information about opening mechanisms, thermal performance and airflow.
The different materials commonly used throughout the industry are assessed, including PVC-u and thermally broken aluminium using both the resin and the latest polyamide methods.
Lonsdale says GlazaTherm is compliant with the latest requirements of Building Regulations Document L.
