Why I hate the Housing Corporation

“Housing Corporation in line for big shake-up” (2 July, page 7) – that is very good news indeed and long overdue.

Just like the housing associations the corporation protects, it is an unaccountable, tenant-unfriendly monolith.

It is a pity the corporation is not to be abolished altogether. It has had things all its own way for more than 38 years, and failed the tenants of social housing.
