Faber Maunsell has appointed Paul Scot as director of fire and risk consulting.
His role is to develop the firm's risk and reliability services in addition to the fire consultancy work.
• Phil Johnson (1) has joined the board of ductwork and component supplier Senior Hargreaves as director of Ductshops, as part of the expansion of its trade supply operation.
• There are two new appointments at Buro Happold. Explosives expert Mark Whitaker has joined the consultant to enhance its expertise in security management, while Trevor Curson, previously at Enviros Consulting, becomes director of environment.
• As the new finance and operations manager, Steve Jeffers will support Ener-G Efficiency's expanding energy management business. He joined the firm in 2001.
• Anna Rabin (2), previously at Maples Teesdale, has joined legal firm Jeffrey Green Russell as head of construction and engineering.
• Sean Lockhart has been appointed project manager at WILA Lighting - a new role created to focus on working with London's architectural and design community on commercial schemes.
• Still on the lighting theme: Nicholas Belfield has joined the London team of DPA lighting consultants as senior designer, while lighting management system supplier Ex-Or has appointed Ian Clough (3) and Ben Goodyer (4) as project sales engineers for London and the South East.
• Colt International has appointed Jean-Claude De Smedt as group business development manager in its smoke control division, while Graham Hazell (5) has become senior consultant to promote sales of the firm's water-based heat pump recovery system.
• And finally, Carl Saxon (6) has accepted an invitation to become a partner of Hoare Lea Consulting Engineers.
