White Young Green picks up key MOD PFI contracts

Listed consultancy group White Young Green has won independent testing roles on two massive MOD PFI jobs worth a combination of over £9bn.

The firm's management services division will oversee the £8bn Allenby/Connaught scheme over the next 35 years. The project includes £1.2bn of construction and includes 200 building sites across six main sites and is the largest ever PFI let out by the MOD.

The firm is also a certifier for the £1.15bn contract to redevelop the MOD's Northwood headquarters site. Clive Anderson, director of WYG’s management services division, said: “WYG are delighted to have been appointed to these prestigious projects, and we are looking forward to working with the various teams to create new, inspirational and fully functioning buildings. These projects continue to place WYG at the forefront of the delivery of a wide ranging design and estate management consultancy services to the defence sector in the UK”.
