APPART
Allgood subsidiary Appart has introduced an easy-to-fit tubular latch for residential doors. The latch comes in a 60mm or 70mm backset, and a bolt version is also available. Double internal springing gives quiet operation and low friction. The strength of the latch allows unsprung lever handles to be used for domestic doors. The company has also made its Jasper Morrison 17308 door handles from a new material. Appart says the material, AluGrey, offers all the benefits of anodised aluminium but is 50% harder wearing.
