Water works: This former industrial site in Sefton, Merseyside, has been given £35m by the New Heartlands market renewal pathfinder, Sefton council, English Partnerships and the Housing Corporation. Remediation work on the 6 ha site has already begun. When the land is decontaminated, 500 homes will be built for sale and rent.
