The Bathroom Manufacturers Association has launched a water efficiency labelling scheme.

The voluntary scheme for commercial and domestic bathroom products follows the DCLG and DEFRA consultation on water efficiency in new buildings published in December last year.

Initially the scheme covers WC suites; independent flushing cisterns; taps and combination taps for use with wash basins and bidets; shower controls; and baths.

The scheme could be extended.
