Daikin has introduced a new EWWD range of high efficiency water cooled stepless capacity controlled R-134a chillers.

Seven sizes are planned, with capacities ranging from 360 kW to 1.1 MW with energy efficiency ratios of between 5.2 and 5.35 at full load, rising as high as 8.0 at 50% part load.

The unit's high performance capability results from the use of the recently introduced Daikin ‘GE' type stepless controlled, single screw compressor with high efficiency motor, optimised for use with R-134a. Capacity control of the single circuit EWWD unit is infinitely variable between 25 and 100%. Overall electronic control is provided by Daikin intelligent adaptive control.
