Head of the cabinet

Eminex has recently extended its data cabling cabinet range with the introduction of new larger wall cabinet models.

Joining the company’s existing 450 mm depth data cabling wall cabinet range are new 550 mm depth versions in standard 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18U sizes.

All of the cabinets are supplied fully assembled as standard. The cases can be stripped down to the basic framework in a matter of seconds via the slide and connect panel work which cannot be removed with the front door locked.

Tyco Electronics has introduced a number of enhancements to the Amptrac connectivity management system from its Amp Netconnect business unit, including a new generation of analysers, added features and innovative software.

The Amptrac connectivity management system consists of port sensors, patch cords, patch panels, I/O cables, link cables, software and analysers, which turn a network cabling system and its connected devices into an intelligent network. The new analysers feature major improvements in thermal efficiency, and no special precautions for heat management and dissipation are necessary.

Dätwyler Cables have announced the availability of Unilan RJ45 feed-through couplings. For the installation of Consolidation Points (CP) for cross-connect wiring, Dätwyler Cables offers a straight and a 90° angled model of solid zinc diecast feed-through couplings. Depending on the deployed panels or outlets, the new couplings provide a Unilan MS module on one side and a Unilan Keystone connector on the other side. The fully-screened couplings fulfil all national and international norm requirements for the category six links (class E).
