Staveley Industries has sold two of its m&e contracting divisions to the Vital Services Group for an undisclosed sum.
Building services firms MJN Colston and EI-WHS will initially continue to trade under their own names under the umbrella of the Vital Services Group.
Speaking on the buyout, a spokesperson for the Vital Services Group said: “I can confirm that we have completed our investment in EI-WHS and MJN Colston.” However, he would not be drawn into comment regarding the acquisition terms or future plans for the companies. No comment could be gained from either MJN Colston or EI-WHS.
The Vital Services Group has an annual turnover of £120 million. The company is a major supplier of support services to the construction, rail and power sectors and incorporates Vital Resources, a labour supplier to the m&e sector.
MJN Colston has an annual turnover of around £50 million. It operates across the country from six regional offices and was formed in 1998 by the merger of the formerly independent MJN and Colston divisions of Staveley Industries, set up in 1933 and 1926 respectively.
EI-WHS has been trading for more than 80 years and operates out of ten offices around the country.
