WIRELESS SYSTEMS manufacturer Visonic has announced its floatation on the London Stock Exchange.
The placing on the official list immediately raised £9.6 million for the company and demand for its shares was significantly over-subscribed.

Speaking from the company's UK headquarters in Bedford, managing director Keith Donovan commented: "This is a major event in our 30-year history and the funds raised will further strengthen our capital structure and enhance our growth opportunities."

Visonic's products include the PowerCode and PowerMax.

As well as wireless and traditional wired systems, products also include security components such as control panels, detectors, radio transmitters, speech diallers and GSM mobile phone communicators.

Last month the company announced the launch of Visonic Technologies Ltd which will specialise in security within the medical sector. The company's corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant is based in Israel and it sells to markets in 70 countries including the UK, North America, Asia Pacific, mainland Europe and Israel.
