This is part of architect EDAW/HOK’s vision for the Olympic village and regeneration of the Lower Lea Valley in east London.

It shows the view from one of the 3600 homes planned as part of the capital’s bid for the 2012 Games. They would be turned into affordable housing after the event and form part of the 30,000 homes planned for the regeneration of the Lea Valley.

It comes as the latest £100m funding package for the Thames Gateway housing growth area was unveiled by John Prescott on Tuesday. About £30m will be spent in London, £23.5m in Essex and £37.5m in Kent.
