JVC has introduced the VN-C215 series of IP-network fixed dome cameras.
IP CCTV dome cameras
Two models are available – the VN-C215V4U for internal installations, and the VN-C215VP4U vandal-resistant model for outdoor applications and demanding indoor installations.
The VP4U model is JVC’s first vandal-resistant IP dome camera, and meets a weather resistance rating of IP66. It has a durable die-cast aluminium chassis with polycarbonate cover, and incorporates an optional heater unit to allow it to operate in temperatures down to -30 deg C. JVC says it is suitable for prisons, campuses, parking garages, railway stations and other demanding environments.
Both cameras have a 3.6x built-in variable focal length iris lens measuring 2.8-10 mm. A maximum high-speed frame rate of 30 fps in VGA resolution is acheived using Motion JPEG compression. Camera set-up or viewing can be achieved using a standard web browser or via SMTP or FTP. Both cameras use Power over Ethernet capability.
