On show at MIPIM

This mixed-use scheme for central Manchester will be on display at MIPIM. It features five towers, ranging from 13 to 49 storeys, as well as gardens suspended above shops and offices. There will be 1,094 apartments, a 209-bed hotel and a swimming pool. The scheme was designed by Ian Simpson Architects for West Properties and work is due to start on site in November 2008.

This mixed-use development at the Royal Docks in the Thames Gateway has just been submitted for outline planning approval. It will provide 3,000 homes, focused around a new marina and jetty, and will have direct access to the Biota! Aquarium. The scheme, Minoco Wharf, is by architect 3DReid and developer Ballymore.
