The first images of Faber Maunsell’s university campus Suffolk have been released.
The first phase of the development opened in September, while phase two - which is currently at the design stage - will provide further teaching areas and student accommodation blocks and private apartments.
Faber Maunsell’s project manager for University Campus Suffolk, Chris Carter, said: “We wanted to achieve a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating and ensure energy efficiency and low operating and maintenance costs. We did this by maximising the benefits of the best available technology. This included heat recovery and passive load reduction strategies utilising building form and fabric, to provide a sustainable engineering design approach, which takes into account the indoor and external environment and provides a low maintenance building services installation.”
