Paul DeGeorgio is promising to set the profile bending industry alight with the easy to use Form8tor machine and other developments in the pipeline
Universal Arches Ltd, a leader in profile forming, is proud to announce the launch of its subsidiary company Uni-Form Engineering Ltd. Universal comments that the new company will specialise in the manufacturing of the world’s most advanced patented bending technology, and is pleased to unveil the first product in its new range of patented equipment, aptly called the FORM8TOR, due to its capability of producing eight bends simultaneously.
Originally the brainchild of Paul DeGiorgio, the FORM8TOR is the result of innovative product development work in conjunction with the Department of Trade and Industry and Liverpool University. The machine’s unique design and capabilities guarantee explosive results that simply leave its predecessors behind, says Paul. He recognised the need for changes in the profile forming industry many years ago. With this new machine, he may finally revolutionise it.
Increasing customer demands require suppliers to provide an accelerated service in all areas and the profile forming area is no exception. Universal Arches presently provides many of its major customers a guaranteed turnaround of five working days, but increasing demands will soon see this to be the normal expectation of every customer, no matter how large or small in the ever changing window industry.
The FORM8TOR will provide all these requirements and more. He is pleased that there are now more competitors within the industry. It means that companies now embarking on this venture must be prepared to give customers what they require, and this can only be a benefit to an industry where customers used to have to wait weeks and sometimes months for these frames many years ago.
Paul states, ‘As we are experts in our field, the time has now come for us to educate the entire industry and teach them the skills and knowledge we have acquired over the last decade. We have seen our orders dramatically increase, partly due to the demand in the new build sector. At one time, all our orders were one off individual orders, now due to the new build sector, we get many quantity orders for repetition frames. The FORM8TOR will enable window manufacturers to produce these frames themselves successfully.’

Simple yet versatile
Paula DeGeorgio, who is Sales Director at Universal, adds ‘Our new equipment is so versatile yet so simple to operate and comprehend. It will certainly mark the start of a new era in profile forming worldwide. Combined with Universal Arches, we will ultimately provide the industry with all its specialised requirements, ranging from shaped frames, doors, equipment, formers to suit any profile, training, spare parts and technical advice. We will provide a one stop shopping service from the smallest to the largest company. We aim to be as notorious in the profile forming industry as our neighbours Pilkington Glass are to the glass industry. Key decision makers throughout the industry can now decide what options will best suit their company requirements. This equipment will attract companies with the key objectives to improve the speed, efficiency, cost and quality of their products. Future ongoing patented product developments will ensure the continued expansion into both the UK and worldwide markets. We have for many years, sold our basic range of equipment, which is still available today, but once having viewed our new equipment I am sure this, like everything else on the market, will be viewed as prehistoric.’
This dynamic, enthusiastic and committed husband and wife team, combined with their highly skilled, knowledgeable and motivated team of dedicated employees, are clearly focused on shaping the future through better design in more ways than one.
