Developer wants partner for 228-home first phase
Developer Grainger has begun a search for a development partner for the first phase of its huge 3,850-home regeneration scheme at Wellesley, Aldershot.
Grainger is working with the Defence Infrastructure organisation and the Homes and Communities Agency on the 255-acre former barracks site. It is seeking a housebuilder partner for the first phase, which has detailed planning consent for 228 homes.
CBRE is marketing the first phase for Grainger. Jasper Masters, senior director at CBRE, said: ” The development represents an attractive investment opportunity for housebuilders looking to extend their exposure to a market which is very much in recovery, and in an area which has always had a high demand for homes.
“Wellesley will bring long term benefits to the local area, with a clear vision to enhance an already thriving community. We look forward to working with housebuilders who can help make this vision a reality.”
