Installers learned how fast and easy it is to install IP equipment at basic knowledge sessions at Pointers head office in Glasgow.

The half day courses in conjunction with WebWayOne gave attendees all the basics required to install a WebWay 2424B device at a client premises and commission to the Pointer Event Monitoring Centre. One installer, Tom Tifney from MG Systems, who said he was nervous of the technology at the beginning of the course ordered the 2424 service for a client at the end of the session and has subsequently installed it.

The first of the nationwide fire training events for CPD (continuing professional development) to be organised by Gardiner Security has attracted great support in the north of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland with more two-day seminars to be held in the Midlands, South and West, later this year.

Supported by the BSI, BFPSA and BAFE, each event features eight seminars of 24 presentations on all the issues, products and solutions required to comply with legislation such as DDA and false alarms.
