SceneTracker from DVTel has received the 2005 New Product of the Year award from US magazine Access Control and Security Systems.
The product was originally developed for government customers to improve their threat awareness when monitoring fragmented views on multiple screens.
SceneTracker software, based on patented technology, provides a real-world, real-time perspective of multiple cameras in a single integrated scene. It combines local cameras, distantly located cameras, and non-overlapped cameras like those separated by walls. Objects or people can be tracked across cameras, around bends, and out of buildings, and any area within the scene can be zoomed into.
One use of SceneTracker in the UK is at Queens Park Rangers where it is providing analysis of players' performance by giving the coach a complete view of the whole field.
Eli Gorovici, DVTel President and CEO, said it was "truly revolutionary" and "breaks through the limitations imposed by viewing video and information on square tiles".
