Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems and Comar fabricator, Feature Architectural Fabrications, recently completed a Toyota branded showroom in Hastings, Kent. Feature Architectural Fabrications, liaised with Comar’s technical department, to fabricate and install the 100m glazed façade.

Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems and Comar fabricator, Feature Architectural Fabrications, recently completed a Toyota branded showroom in Hastings, Kent. Feature Architectural Fabrications, liaised with Comar’s technical department, to fabricate and install the 100m glazed façade.

The design brief requested that the showroom be in line with Toyota’s brand as well as being sympathetic to local surroundings. Feature Architectural Fabrications worked closely with David Foster Associates on wind loadings and U-values and offered design advice throughout the tender process.

The main feature of the Toyota building was the glazed screen along the focal elevations, which used Comar 6 curtain walling. In order to achieve a precise finish and cater for building tolerances, stick build Comar 6 curtain walling was assembled on site.
