Southwark Council has approved two schemes totalling £200m in Elephant and Castle, south London.
Oakmayne Properties will develop a mixed-use project including a 214-room hotel, 219 homes and a five-screen arts cinema (pictured right). The team includes PKS Architects, town planning consultants DP9, chartered surveyors Shaw Corporation and consultants Savill, Bird and Axon.
Multiplex will build a 42-storey residential tower in a joint venture with Espalier that includes 30% affordable housing and energy saving wind turbines. Over 25 firms worked on the planning application including Robin Partlington from Hamilton Associates, DP9 and consultants Four Communications.
