Todd Research – one of the UK’s foremost developers of X-ray screening systems for use in Post Rooms – has now developed an entry-level range of equipment for company’s with smaller budgets.

X-ray screening equipment

Mail bombs and hazardous items are a major concern for all companies. Such items are often concealed in a seemingly routine package or letter. For many clients, screening the post is the only way to intercept these devices before they can cause harm.

The basix 10 desk-mounted scanner from Todd Research enables the end user to detect metallic letter or parcel bomb components including detonators, timing devices, shielding and batteries. The basix 30 and 30+ slimline cabinet x-ray units, on the other hand, enable operators to separate everyday items such as CDs, videos and mobile telephones from suspicious items like bombs, razor blades and concealed narcotics. Optional Enhanced Powder Detection is available on the 30+ models.

Last but by no means least on the agenda, the basix 60 conveyor-style x-ray scanners are ideal for the company wishing to screen larger volumes of items quickly and perhaps in a limited area. Bags, packages and general items of post may all be screened.
