Thorn Lighting has won a £2.1m order to supply lighting to the new Beijing Airport extension.

The project is one of Beijing’s major infrastructure projects for the 2008 Olympic Games and will see construction of a third 420,000 m2 terminal building that can handle an extra 25 million passengers a year. The order involves over 70,000 luminaires, which will be delivered from the first quarter of 2007. Thorn will also supply lighting for the Ground Traffic Centre.
