This mixed-use development, located in the heart of Vancouver’s heritage district, is the first in the city to use a central cogeneration plant. Foster and Partners was the architect; environmental design was by Battle McCarthy. scheme involves the restoration of an A-listed builidng, retention of a B-listed façade and the addition of a new tower with 10-storeys of commercial space and 25-storeys of apartments. The development’s mixed use enables full advantage to be taken of central gogeneration plant. It is planned to run a biodiesel chp unit in conjunction with an absorption chiller.
