Thermoseal offers the Thermix spacer bar for use in sealed units. Thermix has been shown to significantly increase the insulation properties of a sealed unit and reduce the level of heat and energy lost within a window.

In heated buildings in winter, Thermix warm-edge spacers keep the glass at the edge of the window warm (‘warm edge’). Thus, a considerable amount of thermal energy provided by heating stays in the room and the danger of condensation forming is minimised. The window remains dry and so helps to ensure a healthy climate in the room. On the other hand, in air-conditioned buildings the energy required for cooling is reduced –heat can be kept better outside the area around the windows.

Thermix warm-edge spacers are made of high performance engineering plastic with an integrated metallic diffusion barrier made of steel or stainless steel.
