Megger has launched an instrument that checks the operating parameters of testing equipment

The Megger MTB7671 checks operating parameters of instruments under test, providing users with the confidence that the accuracy and performance of their instruments are maintained between routine calibrations.

The MTB7671 tests instruments’ primary functions, and checks the voltage applied by the instrument during tests.

It is capable of checking testers of insulation, continuity, loops and residual-current devices (RCDs). Test functions are colour-coded to ensure ease of use, and pass/fail limits are incorporated for all parameters where known.

The test box is provided with 230 V output terminals to check instruments with voltage-measuring ranges, and it can be safely used with either standard or RCD-protected supplies without the risk of tripping.
